1)Hand-foot-and-mouth disease is a disease caused by the Coxsackie virus and Enterovirus 71.
2)If my friend has HFMD ,the throat and tonsils develop small ulcers while the hands, feet, and diaper area are affected by a rash with very small blisters.
3)No, both adults and children can be affected, but young children below five years are particularly susceptible.
4)I must keep myself clean.
5)No, I do not know of anyone who has contracted this disease.
6)The child should be kept away from all public places if he shows signs of infection. Also, keep the child home from school.Children with HFMD should remain at home until all the blisters have dried up. Keep his toys, books, eating utensils, towels and clothes separate from others.
7)Children must wash their hands with soap before eating and after going to the toilet.Children must also cover mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.Children must not share eating utensils.Ensure that toys or appliances that are contaminated by nasal or oral secretions should be cleaned before they are used again.

1)HFMD is a disease that can spread from person to person by direct contact with the nasal discharge, saliva, faeces and fluid from the rash of an infected person. Both adults and children can be affected, but young children below five years are particularly susceptible.
2)I can tell when he/she has the following symptoms:
* fever
* sore throat
* ulcers in the throat, mouth and tongue
* headache
* a rash with vesicles (small blisters, 3-7 mm) on hands, feet and diaper area. The vesicles are typically on the palm side of the hands the sole side of the feet and very characteristic in appearance
* loss of appetite
3)No it can affect children above 5 and adults too.Children below 5 do not understand of to share or not to share so they will be affected easily.
4)You must not share any food or drinks from anyone and do not go near a person who you think is sick or have HFMD.
5)No
6)By not going to school and by not sharing any food or drinks with anyone.
7)I will advice them to not share and food and drink and not play with friends for this moment as HFMD is occuring to a lot of people.

1. Hand-foot-and-mouth disease (HFMD) is caused by the Coxsackie virus and Enterovirus 71. The throat and tonsils develop small ulcers while the hands, feet, and diaper area are affected by a rash with characteristic vesicles (very small blisters). This is usually a mild illness with the rash healing in 5 to 7 days.

2. He may have these symptoms:
fever
sore throat
ulcers in the throat, mouth and tongue
headache
* a rash with vesicles (small blisters, 3-7 mm) on hands, feet and diaper area. The vesicles are typically on the palm side of the hands the sole side of the feet and very characteristic in appearance
loss of appetite
3. It is not true. HFMD is spread from person to person by direct contact with the nasal discharge, saliva, faeces and fluid from the rash of an infected person. Both adults and children can be affected, but young children below five years are particularly susceptible.

4. I should be kept away from crowded public places (such as schools, preschools, play groups, markets and public transport) if they show signs of infection. My family members are advised to follow good hygiene practices, including frequent hand washing, to limit the spread of the infection.

5. The answer is no.

6. Refrain social contact / meet.

7. My advice to them is to go to this website and take a look: http://www.hpb.gov.sg/health_articles/hfmd/
